Island Equator Surfboard - Midlength

The Island Equator Midlength board is a great backup board for those days when you want to think less and surf more!

The extended wide point offers lots of stability when paddling,  popping to your feet, and trimming down the line. A pulled-in, tapered tail holds in hollower waves and offers plenty of pivot when looking to get back up the face. The versatile bottom is flat underfoot, running into a pronounced double concave through the back which creates a responsive feel for a board of this length and size, while adding acceleration.

The EPS/Epoxy construction, has a great balance between buoyancy, strength, weight and an aesthetic that’s visually stunning. The Thruster fin set up is also a value add offering directional stability when turning, and the ability to experiment with differing performance in different conditions.

Midlength surfboards combine traits from a Mini Mal and Funboard such as increased paddle speed and buoyancy, and also offer a higher level of performance with less area in the nose and tail, and more progressive bottom curves (Rocker).

This style of board is perfect for surfers progressing in skill level who are looking to master smooth, flowing turns on the wave face, and intermediate-to-experienced surfers who’re keen to maintain their performance levels and wave count in smaller conditions.

The Equator is best suited to intermediates continuing on the path of progression.
